Transfer Design
Conveyor Transfers are critical in the operation of any bulk materials handling system. Poor transfer design and/or modification to conveyor parameters without proper consideration of the resulting effects on the transfers can result in major downtime or significant throughput restrictions to the system.
Major issues associated with transfers include:
· Chute blockages or spillage
· Tracking issues with the receiving conveyor
· Shortened life of impact surfaces and wear products
